African Child was born with one goal, to make good roots reggae music with the message of Jah Ras Tafari Makonnen. They spread awareness of the bad political manipulation and to help make a difference for the children in the World of domination and power. This is done through the use of well crafted Reggae music and education.
African Child & Prophet Unification have superbly crafted a wonderful work of art, called Ghettolife. There are influences of Bob Marley, Johnny Clarke, Barrington Levy and Lincoln Thompson, who had such a tremendous effect on the “Roots” Reggae Music Scene. Ghettolife Is an inherently spiritual Rastafari type of music which attracts your attention almost immediately. Ghettolife is a powerful piece of music which emphasises the life long passion for music with a message, a peacemaking force against brutality and violence.
I can truly see Ghettolife becoming the next big “roots” reggae track. It has so many areas of influence, later music from roots being Dub Reggae. This progressively had an effect on many Techno dance tracks of the 90s. Ghettolife could be a beautiful song in any genre or sub genre, possibly because it’s from the roots of music culture, music passion and personal freedom and development.
From young ages African Child travelled the World delivering this impeccable reggae music to many people, delivering their lifelong mission. I think music is nothing if it does not come from the heart or your spirit, African Child & Prophet Unification deliver the Lion of Zion directly from their souls with love and music embracement.
