As childhood friends, Drew and J-Famous grew up in the metro Charlotte area eventually taking separate paths. Years later when starting school in Raleigh, NC for audio production, Drew ran into his old time friend, J-Famous. Soon After they both would meet Dontrell as they became roommates all attending the same school. As time passed, they became aware of their lyrical talent and ability to produce quality music. They soon decided to start the group, ApeHead which would become a passion striving for success. With influences such as Timberland, Neptunes, Jay Z, Ne-Yo, and more; ApeHead has took the "rap" style to a new level adding a mixture of rap, rock, & r&b to make ApeHead music. Recently signing with Mirascope Entertainment talent manager, Jeff Motsinger, ApeHead is currently working on their debut album, Always Pursue Excellence, expecting to be released in late October, 2009. With passion and desire and a different sound then the rest; ApeHead is sure to be the next big thing.
