EBK is a fiercely independent band and they will be releasing their recently completed new CD in Winter 2004/2005A whirlwind year in the grips of some of the industry's insiders made them come out swinging--resisting the quick fix and remaining true to what has gotten them this far: honest rock'n'roll and an unpredictable, live-wire stage show that continues to court new devotees to original, independent music. Extra Blue Kind's infectious melodies, described as both anxious and cerebral, shatters the notion that popular, accessible music has to be shallow, trivial or watered-down.
Notable influences include The Cure, the multi-faceted Dave Grohl, The Cardigans, the lo-fi art rock of The Sea and Cake and the melodic flavor of 60s pop.
