Kellie is a talented singer/songwriter with vocal influences ranging from the rocky screech of Tina Turner in the late 60s, to the smoother sounds of artists like Sara McLachlin."I am so influenced by Ike and Tina Turner''s music." she explains, "I love Ike''s musical arrangements and Tina''s stage presence - they were a fantastic musical partnership."A versatile vocalist, Kellie (25) can cover anything from rock to Gospel and most genres in between. She also writes her own material and plays guitar, violin and piano. And as with her vocal adaptability her writing style varies from smooth, deeply personal ballads which sound almost choir-like in parts, to a grittier blues/rock sound with a darker lyrical edge. The Belfast born talent, who grew up on the cabaret circuit in Spain, has been singing since she was 4-years-old and has appeared at venues all over Europe. Her talent in gospel has seen her on stage in Canada and earned her a billing with 60''s pop star Helen Shapiro - best known for the hit ''Walking Back to Happiness'' at a gospel convention in Scotland.Sony and BMI have both shown interest although Kellie insists, "I''m keeping my options wide open for now" Perhaps a wise choice as this year has forced her to put her singing on the back burner as she has thrown herself into setting up her own business, and dealing with health problems. However, the song book has been growing and she hopes to book some studio time in August
